Q.E.P. Licenses InterBiz to Enhance Customer Service

Q.E.P. Co. Inc. (Boca Raton, Fla.), a manufacturer, marketer and distributor of specialty tools and flooring-related products, has licensed interBiz’ BizWorks e-Business Suite to help enhance the company’s customer service. interBiz is a division of Computer Associates (Islandia, N.Y.).

BizWorks will complement Q.E.P.’s AS/400-based Enterprise Resource Planning Solution, PRMS, and other manufacturing and warehouse management systems.

"We want to leapfrog the competition," says Lewis Gould, Q.E.P.'s chief executive officer. "BizWorks will help us maximize the value of the information we have across our organization by presenting it to Q.E.P. management in a consolidated visual format. BizWorks provides a real-time monitor of how well Q.E.P. is meeting the demands of our customers. In our business, this is our primary differentiator."

BizWorks will also be used by Q.E.P. to establish a manage-by-exception environment where management can monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) throughout its enterprise, alerting staff when machinery and processes fall below set thresholds.
