Viewlocity Inc. (Atlanta), a provider of integrating software and services for e-Business networks and synchronized supply webs, has acquired Electronic Data Transfer, SA (EDT) of France and SC21 Pte, Ltd. of Singapore. The acquisitions are intended to strengthen Viewlocity’s presence in France, as well as the company’s global supply.
"These acquisitions represent a noteworthy milestone for Viewlocity," says Viewlocity CEO Greg Cronin. "Acquiring EDT and SC21 serves to benefit our existing customers by expanding the breadth of the services and solutions we can offer and further deepening our ability to solve in the most locally relevant way some of the most vexing problems faced by companies participating in global supply webs."
EDT, a systems integrator focused on EAI and B2B integration solutions, has been distributing and supporting Viewlocity’s products in France the last five years. Its customers include such companies as Carrefour, Hewlett-Packard and Philips.
SC21 hosted supply web execution suite increases visibility of information between suppliers, manufacturers and customers, and enables customers to collaborate with their trading partners to execute fulfillment at Internet speed.
Viewlocity’s event-based integration broker runs on major operating systems, including the IBM AS/400, Unix and Windows NT.
