IBM Global Services has joined SEAGULL's Solution Partner program, the two companies announced yesterday.

Under the new partnership, the companies will use SEAGULL's EAI technology to integrate IBM WebSphere Commerce Suite applications with J.D. Edwards WorldSoftware enterprise applications. SEAGULL's EAI technology, scheduled for release this fall, offers specialized tools and server software to enable XML-based access to mainframe and AS/400 business processes.

In addition, IBM Global Services will begin a new marketing initiative focused on SEAGULL Web/Windows-to-host and Wireless-to-Host products.

"IBM Global Service's implementation expertise and SEAGULL's robust and proven software technology delivers a world class product and service offering," says Don Addington, president and COO of SEAGULL. "Together we're reducing the time and resources needed to integrate new Web shopping cart/storefront applications with the back-end and providing B2B and B2C companies with faster, easier and more flexible ways for ensuring smooth-running e-commerce environments."
