SEAGULL Forges Partnership with AS/400 Supplier

SEAGULL (Atlanta), a provider of e-business enabling software technology, has formed a partnership with Mainline Information Services (Tallahassee, Fla.), a leading supplier of IBM servers and storage products, including the AS/400, S/390, RS/6000 and Netfinity systems. Under terms of the deal, SEAGULL will deliver its Web-enabling solutions to Mainline’s IBM hardware customers.

The partnership with SEAGULL is the latest step in Mainline's e-business initiative. Mainline already has in place an e-business consulting group called the NCGi that provides Web integration, design and hosting services. Through the partnership with SEAGULL, Mainline will now be able to offer its customers a means to implement a complete e-business solution.

"SEAGULL is a natural fit in Mainline's efforts to provide our customers the e-business enabling technology they are seeking. With SEAGULL technology, our customers have the ability to quickly and easily bring business processes and data stored in enterprise servers to the Web without extensive re-coding," says Andy Ross, director of marketing for Mainline. "We evaluated several products and, based on the superiority of WinJa(superscript: TM) and numerous customer endorsements, chose to align with SEAGULL."

For SEAGULL, the relationship presents them with an opportunity to attract a wide array of potential new customers. "Mainline's customer base includes important companies in the financial, insurance, retail, manufacturing and public sector markets, with a common denominator of reliance on IBM hardware for their critical business processes," says Don Addington, president and COO for SEAGULL. "These customers are seeking ways to open their enterprise mainframe applications and incorporate the content into their e-business and Web initiatives; the combination of SEAGULL and Mainline technology provides them with powerful, reliable and cost-effective solution."
