HP to Use RealNetworks Software on Unix Server
Hewlett-Packard will distribute RealNetworks Inc.'s audio and video software on its HP-UX 11 UNIX servers used by large businesses and organizations.
RealNetworks and HP will jointly sell software and services that combine RealNetwork's software, which allows audio and video to be broadcast over the Internet, with HP's products sold to corporate and service provider customers.
"This agreement between RealNetworks and HP signifies a leap into the world of streaming digital media for the UNIX community,'' comments Jeff Pancottine, Senior Vice-President of Media Systems for RealNetworks.
Madge.web, a global provider of rich content applications and managed network services, is pleased to see two world-class vendors.
