DSS Delivers Enhanced Version of “Point-of-Sale” System for JD Edwards
Fredrik Johnsen
Dynamic Systems Solutions (DSS, Pompano Beach, Fla.), a provider of enterprise business applications solutions, has enhanced its "Point-of-Sale" (POS) System developed for the JD Edwards (JDE) software suite.
The POS Software directly integrates with the JDE software system, facilitating the elimination of redundant files and the double processing of inventory and sales information, with no use of interface files, allowing organizations to significantly broaden their enterprise systems functionality and maintain a more profitable retail business.
The software provides a comprehensive set of tools for real-time, online, Retail Sale, A/R Customer, Quotation and Reservation Processing including, but not limited to, an Employee Time Tracking and Commission System, Customer History Tracking with on-line review, Product Transfer and Receipts, Work Order and Invoice Processing and Retail Location Inventory Count Processing and Management.
In addition, DSS has partnered with ROI Corporation (Kennesaw, Ga.). ROI Corporation markets e-transaction middleware for program-to-program and system-to-system communications and connectivity. ROI's product ROI JavaCard is a secure payment server that processes electronic payment transactions for sales through Internet e-commerce, retail outlets, and mail-order call centers. DSS will have this feature available for release Jan. 1, 2001. This will allow the DSS POS System to incorporate real-time access to credit card and check authorization networks for the processing of electronic sales transactions.
