SETON Healthcare Network Selects Dell to Manage IT Infrastructure
Dell will manage the information technology infrastructure for the SETON Healthcare Network, a member of Ascension Health, the largest not-for-profit health system in the United States. The Dell Technology Consulting program will manage all of SETON's computing needs, including back office and enterprise hardware services, Web-based architecture and technical training for enterprise products, in conjunction with its SETON IT infrastructure support partner, Schlumberger. In addition, Dell will develop a technology roadmap for future SETON information technology needs.
The SETON Healthcare Network is Central Texas' leading health care provider. Its parent company, Ascension Health maintains a network of more than 75 acute care, healthcare facilities in 15 states and the District of Columbia.
The Dell Technology Consulting program will support SETON's strategic IT and Internet initiatives by helping them design, test, validate, tune, and deploy their IT solution based on Dell PowerEdge server products and PowerVault storage products.
Dell is partnering with Schlumberger Network Solutions, a global technology services company, to deliver IT infrastructure support services including helpdesk, desktop support and enterprise application support. Schlumberger Network Solutions will partner with Dell to provide IT solutions in consulting, smartcard, security, network and wireless services.
