NGS, Bottle-Soft Expand Spirited Partnership

New Generation Software, a developer of business intelligence and financial management software for the iSeries 400, has expanded its alliances with business partners that offer software solutions to niche vertical markets. As a result, Bottle-Soft, LLC and NGS have strengthened their partnership to now include targeted marketing of their software applications to wineries and spirit producers.

Since 1990, when the two software providers began cross-licensing their products, they've installed their solutions in some of the most progressive wineries and distilleries in the country. In response to the tremendous growth in these industries for software to streamline their operations, Bottle-Soft and NGS recently formalized an aggressive marketing program to further promote their software and service offerings. Their combined "one-stop" software solution is designed to provide their clients with a fully integrated, comprehensive production management, financial accounting and reporting solution.

Headquartered in Salinas, California, Bottle-Soft has is knowledgeable of the specific needs of these industries. Its Premium Series was specifically designed for both large and small wine producers to fulfill industry-specific requirements and processes, from receiving the grapes to shipping the wine. To help clients remain competitive in the changing marketplace, Bottle-Soft has continued to enhance its software to include a public warehouse interface and a business-to-business extranet that enables wineries to relay orders online, track inventory and shipments in real-time, and access performance reports on demand.

NGS' Concert Series financial management system and NGS-IQ business intelligence solution round out the package available to wine and spirit producers.

NGS' Concert Series is an accounting and financial system with integrated or stand-alone modules, operating from 5250 terminals and Windows, with a Web-user interface for Intranet needs. Its General Ledger, Payroll and Human Resources applications provide seamless integration with the Bottle-Soft application.

The NGS-IQ system provides access to data stored in the Premium Series and Concert Series applications. Reports, queries and analytical views of business data can be requested on demand from Windows, Web Browsers and 5250 sessions and delivered to popular Windows applications or NGS' Windows-based multi-dimensional analysis tool.

NGS also announces their new business partnership with SkilMatch Staffing Systems, Inc., to promote the Concert Series' General Ledger application and the NGS-IQ business intelligence solutions to its customer base and clients.

The Houston-based SkilMatch develops and markets a staffing management system for iSeries 400 and AS/400 companies. Their front and back-office software solutions provide: applicant, customer and job order search; resume capture, faxing and e-mailing; sales tracking, planning and management; single entry Payroll and Billing; temporary and permanent staffing; management and gross profit reports; accounts receivable and accounts payable. Their solutions are available as 5250, Windows and Java applications.
