KeyLink Systems Offers Resellers Support for Intel Transitions
KeyLink Systems, a Pioneer-Standard Electronics Inc. company, and a distributor of midrange computer systems, service and support, has revealed its OpenEnterprise Network, a reseller-focused initiative that supports the expansion of Intel Architecture-based enterprise solutions. The program is designed for resellers who want to capitalize on Compaq’s plan to consolidate its entire 64-bit family of servers onto the Intel Itanium Processor Family.
“KeyLink System’s long-standing relationship with both Compaq and Intel continues to move forward as the OpenEnterprise Network emerges with the essential tools needed to support movement to new Compaq and Intel initiatives,” said Bob Bailey, senior vice president, Pioneer-Standard, Computer Systems Division in a statement. “This program brings customers peace-of-mind for a smooth transition by relying on KeyLink Systems’ technical, marketing and sales staffs with expertise in AlphaServer systems and Intel Architecture-based technology.”
OpenEnterprise Network provides KeyLink resellers the tools, resources and training to accelerate the design, integration and deployment of Intel Architecture-based solutions into the enterprise marketplace. The program gives resellers the opportunity to leverage pre-defined solutions such as e-mail/messaging, e-commerce and storage. KeyLink Systems also provides dedicated engineers and integration teams to help develop customized solutions incorporating the latest Intel Itanium processors. In addition, OpenEnterprise Network offers resellers an extensive ground support system by providing accessibility to both the Compaq and Intel field organizations.
Dan Vertrees, vice president, North America Partner Sales and Marketing, Compaq Computer Corporation, stated that KeyLink Systems’ long-standing relationship with Compaq combined with its history of implementing successful channel programs positions them to deliver a program that will maximize value to Compaq enterprise customers. “This initiative gives prospective solution providers, as well as existing Compaq customers, complete investment protection and access to an infrastructure built for the future,” he added.
