Magic Certifies Solutions on IBM’s eServers

Magic Software Enterprises, Ltd. has received IBM’s ServerProven certification for its eDeveloper application development tool and eMerchant e-business platform. The achievement validates the Irvine, Calif.-based company's commitment to IBM’s eServer line.

The IBM ServerProven program, which is limited to IBM PartnerWorld members, requires a rigorous testing and evaluation process. All certified products are validated for ease of installation, start-up and reliability on IBM servers.

Both Magic eDeveloper and Magic eMerchant have been certified on all of the Intel platforms, including Red Hat Linux, Microsoft Windows NT, Microsoft Windows 2000 Server and Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server.

Magic eDeveloper is a development environment designed for rapid creation and customization of large-scale and complex distributed applications, including interactive Web applications. Magic eMerchant is a customizable e-business platform that combines supply chain management features with a virtual order center.

"We are extremely excited over Magic Software Enterprises' expressed commitment to provide software and solutions covering the full breadth of the IBM eServer offerings," stated Per Larsen, vice president for eServer Solutions for IBM in a statement. "With the support of Business Partner companies like Magic, we are able to continue our tradition of delivering to our customers superior, state-of-the-art technology designed to meet all of their individual needs."

Magic originally began working with IBM's Rochester Labs in 1995 to build application development technology for the AS/400. Magic, an Advanced Level IBM partner, says it plans to continue working closely with IBM well into the future.
