PKS Software Establishes Foothold in North Carolina
AXI Systems and PKS Software have merged their two companies: the new entity will be called PKS Software LLC. AXI Systems, based in North Carolina, has been the exclusive North American distributor of the Germany-based PKS’ AX/ware multi-platform technology, which enables AS/400 companies to deliver their applications to run natively on NT and Unix platforms using the Oracle database. Today, AX/ware is installed in over 700 production sites worldwide running mission-critical applications.
According to Karlheinz Peter, CEO of PKS Software GMbh "AX/ware has been very successful in the North American market. Merging our companies will provide a stronger entity to service our worldwide customer base and continue development of the premier multi-platform technology for AS/400 professionals."
PKS Software LLC maintain its current offices in Raleigh, N.C. and North American operations will continue to be managed by Michael Byrne. "I am excited by the opportunity to empower AS/400 software professionals with such a leading edge technology as AX/ware and to continue working closely with PKS Software to provide a strong direction for future development," said Byrne.
