BMC & Bank of Montreal Extend Partnership
BMC Software Inc. and the Bank of Montreal have extended their relationship for an additional three years. This agreement extends the original licensing agreement that was put into place in 1998 under which Bank of Montreal licensed a number of BMC Software's DB2 and IMS solutions. Under terms of the extended relationship, BMC Software will continue to support Bank of Montreal's customer base with database management solutions that will enable continued availability of critical data to customers around the clock.
Bank of Montreal, Canada's first bank, is the second largest lender serving small businesses in Canada and the fifth largest in North America. Ensuring business availability to its broad customer base at all times is imperative. As a result, Bank of Montreal has implemented a variety of BMC Software's IMS and DB2 solutions to assist with its high availability, recovery, database management and performance needs. For example, BMC Software's DB2 for OS/390 solutions have been an integral part of its DB2 environment for many years.
