Seamless integration with NetApp NearStore — supports customer's information lifecycle management strategy by providing fast, policy-based data movement from heterogeneous primary storage to NearStore. Data can also be automatically migrated from NearStore to tape devices for long-term, offsite archival. QiNetix 5.0 now leverages NearStore and CommVault's award-winning disk-based backup and archiving capabilities to easily recover data from unforeseen data loss or for compliance audits
SnapLock support — leverages NetApp SnapLock technology to enable read-only compliance volumes for regulatory archives on NearStore devices
SAN-attached library sharing across NetApp and non-NetApp devices — makes optimal use of customers' investment in tape library resources
Cross platform recovery support for NDMP — allows NDMP backups to be directly restored to windows filesystems, giving customers disaster recovery options
Enhanced Direct Access Restores (DAR) with Directory-level support — DAR support enables customers to specify particular directories for restoration from within an NDMP backup. This leads to significantly faster restore times
Resumeable backups supported with NetApp Data ONTAP™ 6.4 — increases data and system availability by allowing NDMP backups to resume from point of interruption
Auxiliary copy support for NetApp Data ONTAP 6.4 — improves backup performance and enhances system productivity by allowing for copies of backups to be created for migration or offsite vaulting
