ATEN Technology Releases New Matrix KVM Solution
New Matrix delivers new standard in affordable KVM solutions for enterprises
IRVINE, Calif., June 14 -- ATEN Technology, Inc. today announced a new enterprise-class KVM solution designed specifically for medium and large network environments. The new Matrix, part of the ALTUSEN line of enterprise-class KVM solutions from ATEN, offers a cost-effective and powerful KVM switch that allows four users to directly access and control up to 32 computers simultaneously and independently. The system provides the capability to link 32 users and 4,096 computers through a combination of daisy chaining and cascading. Available now, the new Matrix carries a list price of $3999.95 and is backed by one of the industry's only 3-year warranty programs.
"With this KVM solution, we have combined the most advanced functionality into a powerful server access and data center management tool with the flexibility of multi-platform support and the scalability to accommodate data center expansion," said Sampson Yang, CEO, ATEN Technology, Inc. "Leveraging ATEN's commitment to quality, this new ALTUSEN product offers channel partners and their customers with an affordable and extremely reliable enterprise-level KVM solution that can manage a broad range of business-critical applications."
The Matrix includes RJ-45 CPU connections and Auto Signal Compensation (ASC) that allows signals to travel up to 1000 feet away while still maintaining crystal-clear video resolution. This capability eliminates the need for KVM extenders, and is ideal for distributed network environments. Designed to optimize data center rack space, the Matrix is offered in a 1U- high case that houses all 32 ports. This switch also allows any type of console to control any type of computer, whether it is USB or PS/2.
"We have equipped the Matrix with expansive multi-platform support and configurations including PC, MAC, Sun using CAT5 to PS/2 and CAT5 to USB adaptors -- in fact, ATEN is the first KVM company to provide support for USB ports," added Yang.

"Keep-Alive" feature ensures that the keyboard and mouse connections work properly, even when the KVM switch loses power supply temporarily
Plug-n-Play; no software required
Convenient computer selection via intuitive Hot Key combinations or On Screen Display (OSD) menus; OSD port list automatically expands when stations are added
