SIFT Transfers Files Securely Over the Internet
GARDEN CITY, N.Y.-July 6, 2004-Proginet, developer of software to enable the secure integration of data across enterprises of all sizes, announced today the availability of SIFT 2.0. SIFT (Secure Internet File Transfer) provides businesses of all sizes with a completely secure way of transferring large and/or confidential files through the Internet-with guaranteed delivery.
The most recent version of SIFT allows businesses to use the Internet for global networking and file exchange while eliminating common Internet risk factors of authentication, security and control.
SIFT 2.0 incorporates a number of new features for authentication, checkpoint restart and FTP support. SIFT makes global communication simple as well: When a customer sends information to an external partner, SIFT 2.0 automatically detects the language of the partner's browser and communicates with the partner in the local language.

Support for File Transfer protocol (FTP) allowing user to access common enterprise FTP servers.
Customers can use their existing Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) and match it to the SIFT database to authenticate SIFT users' access to critical data.
