Euclid Strengthens Business Service Management Suite with Euclid Adapter Wizard

Accelerates BSM implementations and speeds time-to-value for business-IT alignment

SAN JOSE, Calif., September 20, 2004 -- Euclid Inc today announced the next significant addition to its Business Service Management Suite: the Euclid Adapter Wizard. The Euclid Adapter Wizard allows users to easily customize out-of-the-box Adapters from Euclid’s Adapter Library, and quickly build new Adapters for proprietary data sources. The functionality in Euclid’s new offering accelerates BSM implementations, speeds time to value for business-IT alignment, reduces total cost of ownership, and makes on-going maintenance considerably more manageable for users.

As an enhancement to Euclid’s Business Information Broker, one of the three major components that comprise Euclid’s BSM Software Platform, the Adapter Wizard accelerates Euclid’s ability to leverage customers’ existing management tools and processes. Adapters collect only the most relevant information, even from large volumes of diverse data sources, and then that data is transformed into meaningful business metrics. With the addition of its Adapter Wizard, Euclid takes one step further in creating a BSM solution for any customer who wants to align IT with the business in less time - and with less financial risk.

Today’s announcement builds on recent news of Euclid’s Business Service Catalog offering, which provides users with a single, consolidated view of business services and a visual illustration of how the IT organization is delivering value relative to business requirements and priorities, as measured by the availability, performance, quality, and cost of business services. Euclid’s Business Service Catalog, announced earlier this month, further extends Euclid’s BSM platform by providing the entire organization -- from line-of-business managers to C-level executives -- unsurpassed transparency into IT.
