IC Intracom Introduces Powerful NAS for SOHO and SMB Applications

Product provides a complete solution for file sharing and backup

Tampa Bay, FL (December 2, 2004) -- IC Intracom today introduced a powerful network-attached storage (NAS) device designed to provide network-based file sharing and backup for small office/home office (SOHO) and small and medium-sized business (SMB) applications.

The Intellinet Active Networking Professional NAS features a 10/100 network adapter and 64 MB of SDRAM for operating system and data caching, enabling a throughput of over 90 Mbps, or 90% of the total network bandwidth. Performance is further enhanced by an Intel XScale processor running at 266 Mhz.

In addition to supporting virtually any internal IDE hard drive (up to 400 GB), two USB ports enable connection of a print server or two external hard drives for expanded storage.

"Our most powerful NAS takes network storage to a new level, with performance and expansion features that make it a strong addition to our growing family of Intellinet Active Networking solutions," says IC Intracom Director of Global Product Management Dave Sousa. "This innovative device will give resellers the perfect solution for users who need file sharing and automatic backup on schedule, without the need to stop or restart the unit."

The Intellinet Active Networking Professional NAS is available now, at a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $379.
