Reflectent Enhances Industry Leading End-User Systems Management Solution
EdgeSight 3.1 enables IT organizations to better manage complexity and reduce support costs through improved efficiencies
Westford, Mass., March 21, 2005 -- Reflectent Software, Inc., a leader in end-user systems management, today announced the general availability of EdgeSightTM 3.1. This latest release reduces the complexity of managing performance across distributed user devices and improves response to incoming event notifications through tiered application monitoring capabilities and intelligent event notification management.
With EdgeSight, IT organizations are able to measure and manage performance and availability where it counts most: the business user. EdgeSight provides an unprecedented view into end-user systems for intelligent monitoring and historical analysis of business critical applications and IT services. EdgeSight 3.1 also includes several customer-driven enhancements including an updated spyware list and new report categories including malware, Trojan horse and dialer programs, to enable customers to better assess their enterprise-wide spyware problem and the effectiveness of third-party anti-spyware programs.
EdgeSight 3.1 New Features
Alert Suppressions - Selectively suppress alerts so that only a single alert displays for any given event. The result is a simplified view of actionable events leading to quicker identification and resolution of issues.
Categorized Alert Pages - New alert filtering capabilities enhance real-time performance monitoring. The improved monitoring console includes specific pages for displaying alerts grouped by alert type, application, system source, network host or device.
Updated Application Categories - The spyware programs category has been updated to include the latest known spyware executables. In addition, Malware, Trojan Horse and Dialer program categories have been added.
New Admin Capabilities- New features have been added to the EdgeSight Web Installer, operations and maintenance pages to improve management and reduce administration time.
Extended International Support - EdgeSight 3.1 Server now supports localized international versions of Windows OS.
