PolarLake brings batch-driven applications into the Service-Oriented Architecture with Integration Suite 4.2

Dublin, Ireland, 6th July, 2005 -- PolarLake, a leader in standards-based incremental integration, today announces the release of the PolarLake Integration Suite Version 4.2, which extends the Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) to encompass batch-driven applications and processes, and thus enables SOA deployments to incorporate the full range of existing, working applications.

The PolarLake Integration Suite is a leading, standards-based solution for the delivery of enterprise integration based on the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) architecture. Version 4.2 builds on this to support the integration and automation of "batch-driven" business processes, including those using file systems, FTP, or e-mail to distribute a wide variety of messages, including both XML formats and non-XML documents such as Excel files. This ability enables integration solutions built using the PolarLake Integration Suite to address real-world environments and integration issues, whilst still supporting the move towards architectural standards based around the SOA, ESB, and XML. As part of this focus, Version 4.2 also delivers support for the ZIP and tar archiving formats.

“Integration Suite 4.2 addresses a key issue for any organization hoping to deliver real-world integration systems: support for existing and often batch-based technologies,” said Ronan Bradley, CEO of PolarLake. “Our support for batch-driven business processes demonstrates our commitment to a real-world approach to the SOA. Our core focus is delivering real business benefits in targeted projects, whilst supporting the strategic IT aims of the organization as a whole.”
