The new feature include the ability to add user-defined system information to the Ecora configuration management database and expanded UNIX/Linux support, further addressing customer demands for meeting IT control, security, and regulatory audit requirements.

External Data Integration: Providing system information beyond detailed configuration data, the External Data Integration feature delivers even greater system management efficiencies. External Data Integration allows users to easily import unique system information such as physical location, purpose of system, serial number, contact information, system description and notes, and more. When the user produces a documentation report, this information is included with how the system is configured allowing the user to have key system information in hand.
Comprehensive Red Hat Linux Support: Supporting the latest version of Red Hat and legacy versions, Ecora provides comprehensive change and configuration management data collection and reporting for Red Hat Linux. Utilize hundreds of built-in reports to solve many IT challenges such as regulatory compliance (SOX, HIPAA, GLBA, etc.), change management, consolidation, disaster recovery, and security assessments.
New Built-in UNIX/Linux Reports: Ecora has added new built-in security and Sarbanes-Oxley audit-ready reports for UNIX and Linux operating systems -- complementing its existing built-in reports for Windows. These new reports are designed to leverage Ecora’s cross-platform configuration management database to automatically identify potential configuration weakness of HP-UX, IBM AIX, Sun Solaris, and Red Hat Linux systems.
