3PAR Expands Microsoft Portfolio with Recovery Manager for MS Exchange 2003
New York, NY, September 28, 2005 -- 3PAR, a leading provider of utility storage, unveiled today its latest simplification tool for Microsoft Exchange deployments, 3PAR Recovery Manager for Microsoft Exchange 2003. 3PAR Recovery Manager is integrated with Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) and works in conjunction with uniquely efficient 3PAR Virtual Copy to deliver non-disruptive data protection and affordable, rapid recovery of Microsoft Exchange databases from hundreds of recovery points.
With an easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI), 3PAR Recovery Manager provides rapid recovery of Exchange Databases without the long hours of administrative time normally required with traditional tape-based recovery methods. Because it leverages 3PAR Virtual Copy technology, 3PAR Recovery Manager is scalable and efficient -- supporting hundreds of copies per volume without requiring upfront space reservations -- thus allowing customers to maintain hundreds of recovery points affordably.
3PAR Recovery Manager is Exchange-aware, discovering Exchange data structures automatically without requiring customers to integrate these technologies themselves. In addition, 3PAR Recovery Manager leverages Microsoft VSS standards to ensure the non-disruptive creation of consistent, recoverable point-in-time copies of single or multiple volumes in Windows Server environments.
