Princeton Softech and Oracle Expand Enterprise Data Management Services

Oracle clients gain documented data management technology for rapid implementation and compliance readiness with new solution accelerator program

PRINCETON, NJ -- May 16, 2006 -- Princeton Softech and Oracle today announced the general availability of the Princeton Softech Optim and Oracle® Accelerator for Oracle E-Business Suite Solution. A documented and field-tested deployment methodology, the accelerator helps streamline the process of implementing the Optim enterprise data management solution in Oracle environments. Princeton Softech and Oracle deliver a dependable and supported solution that helps clients sustain a superior ownership experience that spans the life of their Oracle E-Business Suite investment.

To facilitate the deployment of Optim in an Oracle environment, the accelerator program guides users through the process of defining business and IT requirements to manage application transaction records from creation to deletion. Princeton Softech and Oracle work with clients through five defined phases of solution deployment: Plan, Design, Build, Deploy, and Maintain. This program enables clients to align application service levels with business processes by including detailed operations and reference documentation tailored to each site’s implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite and its business rules or policies.

“Companies would benefit from implementing a data management solution with a focus on sustaining compliance readiness and increasing business value,” said Lee Geishecker, Research Vice President at Gartner. “An effective solution would provide capabilities for processing data at the business object level, allowing the organization to segregate these transactions, store them safely and meet the growing requirements of a stringent regulatory business environment.”

By enabling the capabilities required to manage business records from creation to deletion, Princeton Softech Optim helps Oracle sites to sustain compliance readiness, consistently achieve service level targets and optimize resource allocation. Optim utilizes Oracle application logic to capture historical transactions as “reference snapshots” of business activity, allowing sites to apply consistent, repeatable, and unalterable processes for transaction retention and reporting.

“By helping to reduce implementation time and cost, simplify upgrades, and minimize downtime, Oracle sites can leverage the accelerator to attain a superior ownership experience for their Oracle E-business Suite applications,” said David O’Neill, vice president, technology business unit at Oracle. “The capabilities of Princeton Softech Optim allow clients to define policies to manage critical data, specify business rules at each stage of the lifecycle and help to achieve measurable benefits that span the enterprise.”
