CDB Software Introduces Next Generation Technology for Data Management Optimized for DB2’s New Limits
CDB is first to support DB2’s growing object boundaries with beta releases of CDB/Rebuild Index and CDB/DSTATS
HOUSTON, August 8, 2006 -- CDB Software, Inc. today announced its new Next Generation Technology (NGT) that provides DB2 environments with the flexibility to dynamically grow their data volumes as their business requires while maintaining stringent database control. CDB has embedded its Next Generation Technology into new versions of its CDB/Rebuild Index and CDB/DSTATS, making them the first solutions capable of handling the number and size of objects allowed in the latest and upcoming releases of DB2.
CDB/Rebuild Index is an easy-to-use, scalable tool to reconstruct any DB2 index based on the data in the table. CDB/DSTATS is a high-speed, resource-efficient method to gather distribution statistics on non-indexed columns. Available now in beta release, these two products are the first products in the enhanced CDB Intelligent Data Management Suite (IDM) to be rolled out with NGT. By leveraging the new CDB NGT architecture, CDB/Rebuild and CDB/DSTATS include server technology for optimized parallel processing as well as the ability to parallel process any type DB2 object, regardless of dataset characteristics. They also feature a Windows-based output console to streamline management for thousands of objects.
