With this update, DeviceExpert now supports more than 170 device models from 11 leading vendors such as Cisco, HP, Nortel, D-Link, Juniper NetScreen, 3Com, Foundry, Fortinet, ADTRAN, Enterasys, and BlueCoat. Besides the support for new device models, DeviceExpert 4030 offers complete SSH support, provides utility to quickly track the status of discovery of devices, and the option to test the validity of device credentials entered by the administrator before establishing communication with the device.

Neil C.Perry, IT manager, Stoops Freightliner-Quality Trailer, Inc., a long-time user of DeviceExpert, said, "DeviceExpert has helped us save a great deal of time in automatically rolling out configuration changes to numerous network devices within minutes rather than hours or even days. It's an absolute must for network administrators in enterprises of all sizes."

Apart from offering multi-vendor network device configuration, DeviceExpert provides continuous monitoring of configuration changes (network change management), notifications on respective changes, and side-by-side comparison of altered configuration. Other built-in features include detailed operation audit and trails, easy and safe recovery to trusted configurations, and automation of configuration tasks. In addition, templates for commonly used configurations and insightful reporting are provided.
