Digipede Releases Version 2.0 of Grid Software Solution

Latest version features integration with Active Directory and Windows Authentication

Digipede Technologies has released version 2.0 of Digipede Network, a grid software solution for the Windows platform.

The Digipede Network is built on the .NET Framework and integrates with Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2005, among other Windows server products. According to a press release, the latest release was designed to let users develop grid-enabled applications "quickly and economically."

New features in version 2.0 include integration with Active Directory and Windows Authentication, "which improves control over user access and privileges on the grid," said Digipede CEO John Powers in a statement. "We've also improved the capabilities for administrators who work with larger numbers of Digipede Agents, users and applications."

Version 2.0 also features e-mailed job status alerts, a more comprehensive user interface and "enhanced" .NET Framework development patterns in the SDK. The SDK also includes a Visual Studio 2005 debugging package.

Additionally, Powers said, the version 2.0 features low latency capabilities, which should "improve performance on short tasks significantly."

Pricing for the Digipede Network Professional Edition begins at $4,000 per year, and includes five licenses for Digipede Agent Processor as well as the Digipede Server. Customers can purchase additional licenses for $199 per license, per year. Go to http://www.digipede.net for more information on pricing and configurations.
