HiQube Introduces New BI Platform

Solution can handle large data sets and features customizable reports

HiQube released today its new BI platform in conjunction with Altair Engineering.

According to a press release from the company, HiQube's BI solution combines three data management technologies -- hierarchical, multidimensional and relational -- to produce a solution that can handle "extremely large" data sets without sacrificing speed. Users will be able to use it to create customizable reports and even conduct "what if?" analyses with the product's charting features.

An additional benefit to users of HiQube's BI solution: the company's "pay-for-what-you-use" licensing program. That means users will only have to pay for the maximum number of licenses that "will be concurrently used," according to the press release.

"HiQube was created to match BI functionality to user needs," said Massimiliano Cavallo, HiQube's director of implementation and technology founding partner, in a statement. "This revolutionary technology is especially valuable where business decision makers need to access large data sets, and still have the ability to drill down and easily make on-the-fly changes to BI models. HiQube also delivers an extremely low total cost of ownership because the united BI architecture was created from the ground up. This makes it quick to implement, easy to learn, and is low-maintenance."
