Mendocino Releases InfiniView 2.1 for Microsoft Exchange

Latest version of recovery product delivers faster recoveries and Windows 64 support

Mendocino Software has released version 2.1 of InfiniView, its e-mail recovery product for Microsoft Exchange Server.

According to an announcement from Mendocino, the latest release features better usability geared toward speeding up Exchange recoveries; Windows 64 support; and increased support for Microsoft Cluster Server and Volume Shadow Copy Service.

With version 2.1, Mendocino promises faster recovery compared to "conventional data protection technologies" while still keeping the impact of backup operations to a minimum and increasing Exchange availability. Users will no longer have to perform "brick-level" backups to recover folders, databases, mailboxes or individual e-mails.

"Conventional backup and restore products just can't meet the evolving Exchange recovery requirements, particularly those that have to do with backup window, data loss on recovery and recovery time," said Mendocino's president and CEO, Steve Colman, in a statement. "InfiniView combines a number of hot technologies -- disk-based recovery, continuous data protection, application awareness and brick-level recovery -- in a single solution that maximizes Exchange uptime while providing faster, more flexible recovery than ever before."

Pricing for InfiniView 2.1 starts at $34,000. For more information, go to http://www.mendocinosoft.com.
