GoldenGate Version 9.5 Expands Support for Enterprise Applications

Enhanced support for custom and packaged enterprise applications

GoldenGate Software Inc. released GoldenGate 9.5 with enhancements tto the platform's capabilities for all major enterprise software applications. The company’s GoldenGate Transactional Data Management (TDM) platform expands support for packaged enterprise applications including Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft Enterprise, Siebel, JD Edwards, and SAP as well as custom-developed applications.

With GoldenGate 9.5, the platform can replicate non-data objects, decreasing the time and effort required to perform database administrative tasks such as adding users or applying stored procedures to the target database. As a result, downtime is minimized. The platform is often used during a planned migration or upgrade so organizations will experience little or no downtime. The updated software expands support for heterogeneous environments, including Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005, Oracle, Sybase, DB2 z/OS, DB2 LUW, HP NonStop and SQL/MX, Enscribe, Ingres, and MySQL.

The company’s TDM platform provides real-time bidirectional change-data-capture (CDC) capabilities, so it can be used to copy structural changes between databases without interruption; this allows enterprise IT teams to upgrade their business applications with minimal downtime.

The release also expands support for non-data objects in Oracle database versions (including 9i and 10g), improves high-availability and real-time data integration capabilities for custom and packaged enterprise software applications (including SAP and Oracle applications such as Siebel, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards), and expands heterogeneous support for a wide range of databases and platforms.
