Vigilar Updates Atlas Security-as-a-Service Solution

Adds risk management, network monitoring, asset tracking capabilities

Vigilar’s version 2.0 of ATLAS Security-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution for holistically managing security includes new functionality for risk management, network monitoring, and asset tracking. The update also includes enhanced compliance audit support and ticketing as well as full device management functionality.

Securing IT assets demands significant expertise, infrastructure investment, and oversight just to keep systems updated and effective, but such system management is consuming a greater portion of IT’s time and resources. To address this trend, ATLAS’ new areas of functionality include:

• Identification of infrastructure assets, security issues, and network changes

• New change-monitoring and -management, such as state and traffic monitoring

• Network vulnerability detection, including passive and active scanning, risk analysis, and intrusion detection capabilities

• Improved asset and license management, including limited licensing and subscription tracking of assets

• Filtering of Web content and spam

• Management of firewalls and bandwidth

• Full management of security devices such as firewalls, IDS, and IPS devices

ATLAS is delivered as five managed service modules, eliminating the expense of purchasing and managing hardware and software that accompanies traditional on-premises solutions. The five modules, available separately or together, are:

• Asset Identification, Prioritization and Management

• Technical Support

• Log Management

• Authentication Management

• Systems Maintenance, Monitoring, and Management
