AlgoSec Launches Firewall Compliance Solution for ISO
Product features real-time reporting, "what-if" analyses, and continuous security auditing
Last week, firewall and risk management solutions provider AlgoSec Inc. launched its ISO 27001 Firewall Compliance Solution, designed to complement the company's Firewall Analyzer Product Suite.
The ISO Firewall Compliance Solution gives users "out-of-the-box" reports on their firewall's compliance to requirements established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). AlgoSec also provides similar compliance solutions for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards.
As with other AlgoSec firewall analysis products, the ISO Firewall Compliance Solution works on Juniper/NetScreen, Check Point, and Cisco firewalls and features the capability to generate "What-If" analyses, provide constant security audits, compare firewall policies across different vendors, and duplicate unused or duplicated rules.
Users are also able to view "real-time reports" to stay abreast of any adjustments to the firewall, as well as give auditors "pre-populated" compliance reports.
According to a prepared statement by AlgoSec CTO and co-founder Dr. Avishai Wool, the ISO Firewall Compliance Solution was designed "to automate those difficult, complex and time-consuming issues surrounding firewall compliance and administration ... [by] automatically analyz[ing] the firewall configuration relative to government-mandated standards, a required but until now difficult task."
