NetIQ Releases Aegis Adapters for Security Automation
Adapters help companies automate their security tasks, resulting in faster resolution times
NetIQ last month released NetIQ Aegis Adapters for both its Security Manager and Security Configuration Manager products, allowing users of both products to automate their security operations.
According to the company, Aegis Adapters allow users in heterogeneous environments to automate security tasks, helping to speed up resolution times and more accurately maintain policy compliance and data security.
Besides faster response and resolution times to security problems, as well as more effective compliance management, users can also expect enhancements to auditing capabilities and "fully integrated" IT incident management, the company said.
"Enterprise customers want to decrease operating costs of security by increasing its efficiency, and they want to do that without sacrificing service quality or introducing enterprise risk," said Chris Pick, NetIQ 's vice president of products and marketing, in a prepared statement. "NetIQ Aegis and our latest security adapters extend IT process automation to security operations to achieve all of these objectives by consistently executing IT process and by leveraging existing tool sets in a cost-effective manner."
