Kalido Releases Latest Version of Information Engine

Latest releases support 64-bit databases and VMware environments

Kalido this week released a new version of its Information Engine product, which now features support for virtualization and 64-bit environments.

Kalido's Information Engine helps companies to quickly deliver information about business performance to end users through their BI tools. According to the company, the latest release of the product was designed to decrease total cost of ownership via its new support for VMware environments. This means that users can outsource their maintenance duties, manage the product remotely, and make better use of their system resources. The latest release also allows for multiple instances of Kalido inside a single Oracle database.

Other features include improvements to data validation, support for 64-bit databases, better management capabilities, enhancements to its Business Information Modeler, and better system availability. The release also integrates with QlikView and Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services.

"These updates are important improvements designed to improve the total ownership experience for customers," said Kalido president and CEO Bill Hewitt in a prepared statement. "Our vision of 'Information-as-a-Service' focuses on improving the productivity of information producers, managers and users. This release provides enhancements for all three, while simultaneously improving time to value, thereby dramatically accelerating ROI."
