10-Strike Releases LANState Pro Version 4.0

Latest version includes more than 20 new features, fixes

10-Strike Software recently released version 4.0 of its LANState Pro network mapping program.

Designed for small and mid-size businesses working within Windows environments, LANState Pro lets users create maps of their networks and all network devices -- including hosts, printers, routers, and servers -- and view details about network events "almost in real time," the company said in a press release. LANState monitors the network for changes, lets users directly manage remote hosts, and sends users event alerts.

This latest version of LANState Pro includes "over 20 new features and bug fixes" the company said. Version 4.0 comes with "enhanced monitoring with dependent checks." Specifically, monitoring checks can only proceed after the related dependency checks are fulfilled.

Version 4.0 users also have the ability to run outside applications and scripts -- such as VisualBasic and JavaScript -- to manage their network performance.

Other features include "administrator authorization" for the purpose of managing remote computers, and improved importing capabilities.

10-Strike is currently offering a 30-day trial of the latest release of LANState Pro. Pricing starts at $249.95. For more information, go to http://www.10-strike.com/lanstate.
