Active Endpoints Releases ActiveVOS 6.0

Latest version features compliance with open standards

Active Endpoints Inc. has released version 6.0 of ActiveVOS, the company's business process management and orchestration product. ActiveVOS 6.0 is available for download at http://www.activevos.com.

According to a company press release, ActiveVOS 6.0 allows enterprise architects, Java developers and analysts to collaborate and plan for new application requirements and to "control the overall state of the business."

ActiveVOS6.0 combines reporting, event processing, process modeling, and testing and debugging processes into one system. It also maintains "100 percent compliance with all major open standards," the company said. These standards include Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) and Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN).

"With ActiveVOS 6.0, Active Endpoints has finally achieved what companies and Java developers have been waiting for," said Active Endpoints CEO Mark Taber in a prepared statement. "Now, enterprises no longer have to focus on building expensive, theoretical application infrastructures. Instead, they can simply begin to do what they have longed to do: create services-based applications. ActiveVOS 6.0 is unique because it delivers everything developers, business analysts, architects and operations staff need to develop SOA-based applications right away."

The product features include customizable reports, a "universal console," and a "time machine" feature that lets users to trace the origins of a specific process failure.

ActiveVOS 6.0 is compatible with Vista and XP, as well as Red Hat, SuSE and Ubuntu Linux. For deployment licensees, pricing for ActiveVOS 6.0 begins at $12,000 per CPU socket (deployment licenses are available for $5,000 per CPU socket).
