Tidal Releases Intersperse 8.0

Latest release of the monitoring product features performance tracking and the ability to automatically perform corrective procedures

Tidal Software has released Intersperse 8.0, the company's business-transaction monitoring solution designed for .NET and J2EE applications.

Intersperse 8.0 monitors companies' codes and applications for memory leaks and other errors, and issues alerts when it encounters a problem. The product also keeps a running list of the system's 10 slowest components, giving users an idea of which problems need the most attention. Users can also program it to automatically perform an action when a specific problem arises.

Intersperse can also give "deep health monitoring" for Oracle and Sybase databases, the company said in a press release.

Additionally, Intersperse 8.0 gives companies an "end-to-end" view into their system by mapping the applications and tracking business processes across various service layers and infrastructures.

"Intersperse 8.0 provides a 'single view' of applications and their components," said Wayne Greene, Tidal Software's vice president of product management, in a statement. "At its highest level, the Server Health Dashboard shows the status of applications and components. It also shows the top-level availability status of all managed servers as well as all open alerts."
