Tranxition, a desktop personality and management solutions provider, has released AdaptivePersona Foundation. This edition of the AdaptivePersona solution focuses on centrally managed virtual desktops.
In desktop environments, personality becomes entangled with the operating system and applications, which leads to additional IT costs as well as lost user productivity when any part of the environment changes or fails. AdaptivePersona addresses these issues by virtualizing the entire desktop personality -- user customizations and data, in and outside of the Windows profile.
The Foundation edition of AdaptivePersona enables dynamic assembly of non-persistent virtual desktops from standard components while allowing each assembled desktop to have individual personality. Using Tranxition’s patented “personality hypervisor,” AdaptivePersona intelligently intercepts and virtualizes desktop personality activity. This eliminates many of the issues related to the use of Roaming Profiles in VDI environments -- profile corruption, long log on and off times, and “profile bloat.”.
“Our first edition of the AdaptivePersona solution addresses an urgent requirement for businesses implementing centralized virtual desktops,” said Bob Hoffman, president and COO of Tranxition. “AdaptivePersona Foundation lets organizations deploy personalized virtual desktops to users without the storage and management issues experienced when other solutions are used.”
AdaptivePersona Foundation provides a simple-to-install, easy-to-manage, and cost-effective solution for personalizing virtual desktops. With an architecture based on standard Microsoft components, AdaptivePersona Foundation can easily be integrated into implementations based on popular VDI frameworks such as Citrix XenDesktop, vmware View, and the Microsoft VDI Standard Suite. Additionally, AdaptivePersona easily integrates into real-world management frameworks and processes.
Tranxition’s AdaptivePersona Foundation software is available now by calling 877-707-4357 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Evaluation software can be requested online at www.tranxition.com/resources/trial-software.shtml .
The Foundation edition of AdaptivePersona has a suggested price of $24 per named user or $29 per concurrent user, which includes one year of maintenance and support.
