DynamicOps has added HP Server Automation to its list of choices for virtual machine software deployment and provisioning using the company’s Virtual Resource Manager (VRM).

This new version of VRM with HP Server Automation lets enterprises install their OS and application software using the same method for physical and virtual environments.

With VRM, business can rapidly create and deploy on-demand IT services through automated, policy-based self-service provisioning. This delivers the "right size" machine at the "right service level" on shared compute resources in private or public clouds.

HP Server Automation provides automated server lifecycle management, including the deployment of OS and applications to servers. VRM’s automated service delivery and operational governance and control complement HP Server Automation’s capabilities for configuration management, compliance checking, drift analysis, and patch management. It also provides support for hypervisors and other components of the IT stack from a wide range of vendors.

DynamicOps provides many options for software deployment on virtual machines:

  • Platform tools such as hypervisor cloning, Windows WIM Imaging, and Linux Kickstart/AutoYaST

  • Third-party vendor tools such as HP Server Automation that allows ongoing patch management, compliance checking, and more. DynamicOps already offers VRM integrated with BMC’s BladeLogic Operations Manager

  • Space-efficient approaches, especially for desktop groups such as Citrix Provisioning Server, NetApp FlexClone, and VMware View Composer

VRM with HP Server Automation is available immediately. Additional information is available at www.dynamicops.com.
