Clerity Solutions, a mainframe migration, modernization, and optimization solutions provider, today released new software to help businesses improve efficiency and market responsiveness by accelerating legacy transformation initiatives for Windows- and .NET managed-code environments. The new software, Clerity Transforming Enterprise Applications (TEA), is part of the company’s IT modernization suite. Clerity TEA gives developers the power to create reusable data objects and new Web services from a range of application environments without changing existing source code or business processes.

The new technology provides a sound alternative to risky rewriting or reengineering approaches. The software extends and enhances the value of applications from a mix of server environments, including IBM mainframes, Linux, UNIX, and Microsoft Windows-based systems by safely exposing business logic to mobile computing, service oriented architecture (SOA), and other IT initiatives. With TEA, reusable components and new Web services can be quickly created from individual applications or a composite “mash-up” of both legacy and newer systems.

For organizations that want to leverage legacy applications across the enterprise in new Microsoft .NET, Web, client/server, or mobile applications, Clerity TEA software provides a fully integrated plug-in that extends Microsoft Visual Studio and a drag-and-drop environment to capture legacy and Windows-based application data sources. TEA technology converts these screens and data into reusable, .NET managed-code objects that can be quickly deployed to any Microsoft .NET project type, including Windows Forms, Web Forms, Web Services, Windows Presentation Foundation, and Windows Communication Foundation applications.

Clerity TEA objects can also be used in the creation of customized workflows leveraging Microsoft BizTalk Server to build composite applications for the Windows Azure cloud.

For organizations looking to create composite business services from multiple types of systems, the Clerity TEA software enables developers to quickly assemble and deploy business services from both mainframe and open systems assets, with no special understanding of SOAP, XML, WSDL, or HTTP protocols required. With an intuitive, wizard-based tool, developers can generate Web services and modernize the end user’s experience without ever having to write a single line of program code.

Clerity TEA software is available immediately. More information is available at www.clerity.com.
